The 8-Day / 7-Night Volcano & All-Inclusive Beach Getaway provides an outstanding opportunity for families with limited travel time to sample some of the country's highlights on their Costa Rica vacation. Our Costa Rica travel experts have designed a convenient way to enjoy the Arenal Volcano region, with its hot springs and rainforest, as well as the Pacific beaches, featuring a stay at an all-inclusive Costa Rica resort in Guanacaste. Pricing is set for a family of 4 guests sharing one room. At least one family member must be 11 years or younger. Day 1: Arrive at the San Jose International Airport. (This itinerary can also be booked with flights arriving in Liberia, Guanacaste.) A contact person will pick you up in the customs area and take you to meet your driver. Board the van to start the 2½ hour drive to the Arenal Volcano Region. Enjoy the drive up the northern mountains of the Central Valley then down towards the flatlands of San Carlos. Check in to your hotel in Arenal.
Days 2 and 3: Enjoy the Arenal Volcano region. Optional activities include hot springs resorts, spa treatments, tour on horseback or hike to La Fortuna Waterfall, Class III white water rafting in the Sarapiqui River, floating safari, canyoning, lake kayaking, hikes in the Hanging Bridges Tour, Sky Trek / Tram canopy tour, hikes in the Arenal Volcano National Park, and touring the Venado Caves. Overnight in your Arenal Volcano Region hotel.
Day 4: Check out of the hotel. Board the van for the 4 hour transfer to the Guanacaste region. This drive takes you around Lake Arenal into the town of Tilaran., transferring you from lush rainforest to the tropical dry forests of the Guanacaste savannah and on to the Pacific shores. Check in to your all-inclusive beach resort.
Days 5 - 7: Enjoy the Guanacaste region. Optional activities include exploring the beaches, boat trips down the Palo Verde National Park, canopy tours, hikes and mud baths in the Rincón de la Vieja National Park, golf at Hacienda Pinilla or Reserva Conchal courses, estuary and ocean kayaking tours, snorkeling, diving, and sport fishing. Overnight at your all-inclusive Guanacaste beach resort.
Day 8: Check out of the hotel and board the van for your transfer to the Liberia International Airport. Check in to your return flight. |
