The Peace, Play & Paradise Costa Rica vacation package for the family allows you to stay at luxury accommodations in three of Costa Rica's most popular destinations without breaking the bank.  With its mix of volcanoes, hot springs, rainforests, waterfalls, and an all-inclusive beach resort, this package gives you a taste of the distinct regions of Costa Rica: the northern mountains of the Central Valley and the Poas Volcano, the Arenal Volcano in the San Carlos northern flatlands and Conchal Beach in Guanacaste.  The itinerary is also ideal for families that wish to rent a car and explore the country at their own pace.

Day 1: Arrive at San Jose International Airport.  A contact person will pick you up in the customs area and take you to meet your driver.  Board the van for the hour drive up the northern mountains of the Central Valley, with its spectacular views.  This is one of the country's prime coffee plantation regions, also known for the strawberry and ornamental plant production.  Check in to the Peace Lodge, nestled in the La Paz Waterfall Gardens, and begin exploring one of the country's most picturesque spots.

Day 2: Enjoy the hotel and the Central Valley.  Optional activities include La Paz Waterfall Gardens, Poas Volcano and the Doka Coffee Plantation. Overnight in the Peace Lodge.

Day 3: Check out of the hotel and board the van for the 2½ hour private transfer through the northern plains to the Arenal Volcano Region.  This drive will take you down the mountains of the Central Valley into the rainforest of Sarapiqui and the San Carlos lowlands.  Check in to Tabacon Resort and begin exploring the region or spend the afternoon and evening enjoying the resort's hot springs, spa and pools. 

Day 4 - 5: Enjoy the hotel and explore the Arenal Volcano region. Optional activities include visiting the Fortuna River Waterfalls, rafting on the Sarapiqui River, canyoning (waterfall rappels), Sky Trek canopy tour, kayaking, Arenal National Park tour, Venado Caves tour, and the Hanging Bridges tour.  Spend time at the relaxing hot springs at your resort.  Overnight at Tabacon Resort.

Day 6: Check out of the hotel and board the van for the 4-hour transfer to Conchal Beach. This beautiful drive takes you around Lake Arenal into the town of Tilaran, transferring you from lush rainforest to the tropical dry forests of the Guanacaste Savannah and on to the Pacific shores. Check in to Paradisus Playa Conchal, Costa Rica's premiere all-suites, all-inclusive resort, and start enjoying the amenities.

Days 7 - 9: Enjoy Conchal Beach and explore the Tamarindo/Conchal Region. Optional activities include surfing lessons, boat rides in the Palo Verde National Park, golf in Hacienda Pinilla or Reserva Conchal, deep sea fishing, horseback riding, turtle watching (in season), visiting Granada, snorkeling, and kayaking tours.  Overnight at Paradisus Playa Conchal.

Day 10: Check out of the hotel and board the van for the 75-minute private transfer to Liberia International Airport.  Check in to your return flight.
