Manuel Antonio - Kioro in Arenal - JW Marriott in Pinilla

Our Costa Rica family vacation travel experts have designed this wonderful 11 day / 10 night itinerary combining rainforests, volcanoes, beaches, and wildlife. This package includes Costa Rica's most popular regions -- Manuel Antonio, Arenal and the Guanacaste Beaches -- with stays at five-star resorts in Cost Rica. Room upgrades are available upon request, and we would be happy to customize any portion of the package and to add tours based on your specific interests.

Day 1: Arrive at San Jose International Airport. A contact person will pick you up in the customs area and take you to meet your driver. Board the van for the 3½ hour drive to Manuel Antonio. This beautiful ride takes you west of the Central Valley to the town of Atenas. Traverse the southern mountains towards Orotina, home of some of the country's top fruit producers. Continue towards the beaches of the Central Pacific, passing Herradura, Jaco, Hermosa, Esterillos, and Parrita, en route to Quepos, a fishing town near Manuel Antonio. Check into two ocean breeze rooms at Arenas del Mar.

Day 2: After an early breakfast, you will be picked up in the hotel lobby for a private tour of the renowned Manuel Antonio National Park. Spot three species of monkeys, sloths, iguanas, coatimundis, and a wide range of birds and reptiles. After the tour, stay and relax on the pristine beaches of the park or return to the hotel. Overnight in a two ocean breeze rooms in Arenas del Mar.

Days 3 and 4: Relax at the beach and the pools or take advantage of the many activities available in the magnificent Manuel Antonio region and Hotel Arenas del Mar.  Optional activities include fishing, kayaking, sailing, mangrove tour, horseback riding, white water rafting, and canopying.  Overnight in a two ocean breeze rooms at Arenas del Mar.

Day 5: Check out of the hotel. Our driver will pick you up for a 15-minute drive to the Quepos Airstrip. Board the flight to Arenal. Upon arrival, board the van for a short transfer to the Arenal Kioro Hotel. Check in to two Suites at Arenal Kioro Hotel then spend the afternoon and evening enjoying the hot springs and gardens.

Days 6 and 7: Explore the Arenal Volcano region and the Arenal Kioro Hotel, boasting hot mineral pools and spectacular views of the Arenal Volcano. Optional activities include visiting the Fortuna River Waterfalls, rafting on the Sarapiqui River, canyoning (waterfall rappels), Sky Trek canopy tour, kayaking, Arenal National Park tour, Venado Caves tour, and the Hanging Bridges tour.  Overnight in two suites at Arenal Kioro Hotel.

Day 8: Check out of the hotel. Your driver will pick you up for the 25-minute transfer to the Arenal Airstrip. Check in to the flight to Tamarindo. Upon arrival, board the van for the 30-minute transfer to JW Marriott. Check in to two Garden Rooms at the JW Marriott.

Days 9 and 10: Enjoy Tamarindo Beach and explore the Tamarindo/Conchal Region. Optional activities include surfing lessons, boat rides in the Palo Verde National Park, golf in Hacienda Pinilla or Reserva Conchal, deep sea fishing, horseback riding, turtle watching (in season), visit Granada, snorkeling and kayaking tours. Overnight in two Garden rooms at JW Marriott.

Day 11: Check out of the hotel and take the 2-hour shuttle to the Liberia International Airport. Check in to your return flight.
