Day 1: Arrive at the San Jose International Airport. A contact person will pick you up in the customs area and take you to meet your driver, who will transfer on the 2½ drive to the Arenal Volcano region. This ride takes you up the mountains to the fertile region of San Ramon and on to the San Carlos flatlands, home to some of Costa Rica's top agricultural products, including oranges, papayas and cassava. Arrive in the Arenal Volcano region and check in to your hotel. Consider a visit to one of the renowned hot springs resorts in the evening (included in packages with stays at Tabacon Grand Spa, Arenal Kioro, Royal Corin and The Springs Resort).
Days 2 & 3: Free days in the Arenal Volcano Region. Optional tours include canopy tour (zip lining), White Water Rafting, Waterfall Rappelling (canyoneering), Safari Floats, Rainforest and Volcano hikes, caving, hot springs and tours on ATVs, mountain bikes and horseback. Overnight in Arenal.
Day 4: Check out of the hotel and board the van for your 4-1/2 hour private transfer to Manuel Antonio. This drive takes you through the mountains towards to the majestic shores of the Pacific Ocean. Check in to your room in Manuel Antonio.
Day 5 to 7: Enjoy the hotel and explore the Manuel Antonio region. Optional activities include sport fishing, sea or estuary kayaking, dolphin and whale watching, sailing on a Catamaran, mangrove tour, horseback riding, and canopying. Overnight in Manuel Antonio.
Day 8: Check out of the hotel and board the van for your private 2 and ½ hour transfer to the San Jose International Airport for your return flight. |
