Hot Springs - Rainforest - Pacific Beaches
Day 1: Arrive at the San Jose International Airport. A contact person will pick you up in the customs area and take you to meet your driver, who will transfer on the 2½ drive to the Arenal Volcano region. This ride takes you up the mountains to the fertile region of San Ramon and on to the San Carlos flatlands, home to some of Costa Rica's top agricultural products, including oranges, papayas and cassava. Arrive in the Arenal Volcano region and check in to your hotel. Consider a visit to one of the renowned hot springs resorts in the evening. Check in a Jacuzzi Suite at Arenal Kioro. Day 2: Enjoy an adventure Combo tour that will start with a a drive to the active Western side of the volcano. It is possible to observe a great variety of plants, wildlife and magnificent lava rock formations. Once on top of the lava flow you will have a beautiful view of Lake Arenal. The tour concludes with a relaxing stop at the mineral hot springs.
DAY 3: Adventure tour at La Fortuna Waterfall. You will arrive at the upper part of the falls, from here you will contemplate the 230 foot waterfalls. Then, you will begin your hike down into a beautiful trail a hanging bridge, with handrails through a wonderful rain forest until you reach the cascading pool. Here you might consider going swimming into these cold waters or rest on the several rock outcroppings found along the river banks.
Day 4: At approximately 9:00 AM, board the van and start the drive to the beaches of the Nicoya Peninsula in Guanacaste. Check in at Punta Islita Hotel - Stay 4 nights – pay 3 offer -Free Upgrade to a Suite (after May 1).
Day 5 to 7: Enjoy your Guanacaste boutique beach hotel. Optional tours include snorkeling, surfing lessons, deep sea fishing, horseback riding, and spa.
Day 8: Check out of the hotel and board the van for your short transfer to the local airport. Board the flight back to San Jose. Upon landing, the driver will take you to the San Jose International Airport and your return flight home. |
