Our Costa Rica family vacation travel experts have designed this wonderful 8 day / 7 night itinerary combining rainforests, volcanoes, beaches, and wildlife. This package includes the most popular tours in each region with stays at some of the leading five-star resorts in Costa Rica. Room upgrades are available upon request, and we would be happy to customize any portion of the package to your preferences, budget and interests.
Day 1: Arrive at San Jose International Airport (can also be planned with a Liberia arrival). A contact person will pick you up in the customs area and take you to meet your driver. Board the van for the 2½ hour drive to Arenal. Check in to you room at The Springs Resort then spend the afternoon and evening enjoying the hot springs and gardens.
Days 2 and 3: Explore the Arenal Volcano region. Optional activities include visiting the Fortuna River Waterfalls, rafting on the Sarapiqui River, canyoning (waterfall rappels), Sky Trek canopy tour, kayaking, Arenal National Park tour, Venado Caves tour, and the Hanging Bridges tour. Overnight in Arenal.
Day 4: Check out of the hotel. Your driver will pick you up for the 25-minute transfer to the Arenal Airstrip. Check in to the flight to Liberia. Upon arrival, board the van for the 30-minute transfer to your hotel. Check in to your room(s) at the luxurious Four Seasons Resort at the beach in Papagayo.
Days 5 - 7: Enjoy the beach and explore the Papagayo. Optional activities include day trips to the Rincon de la Vieja volcano, canopy tours, snorkeling, kayaking, sports fishing, scuba diving, spa and yoga. Overnight in Four Seasons Resort Papagayo (fifth night free available on selected seasons).
Day 8: Check out of the hotel and take the 30 minute private transfer to the Liberia International Airport. Check in to your return flight. |
