This 8-Day / 7-Night Costa Rica family vacation package focuses on two nature-intense Pacific Ocean regions, mixing the pristine beaches and exotic location in Santa Teresa de Malpais with a three night stay in Corcovado / Osa, the most ecologically diverse region on the planet. Due to the remote location, difficult travel conditions and long hikes in the parks, Corcovado is not a good fit for children under eight years old. Visiting two of the top national parks in Costa Rica, this is a dream package for families that wish to witness Costa Rican wildlife in its natural habitat.
Day 1: Arrive at the San Jose International Airport. A contact person will pick you up in the customs area and take you to meet your driver. Board the van for the short transfer to the local departures terminal. Check in to your 50-minute flight to the Osa Peninsula / Corcovado. Upon landing, you will be transferred to your hotel by car and / or boat. Check in, plan your tours and take the rest of the afternoon to explore the region.
Day 2 - 3: Start your exploration of Costa Rica's most eco-diverse region with a guided hike in the National Park. Take the rest of the day to enjoy the hotel and explore the region. Activities in the region include nature and animal watching, visits to the Corcovado National Park, snorkeling and diving in Cano Island, kayaking, hiking, tours on horseback and surfing. Overnight in your lodge in Osa / Corcovado.
Day 4: Check out of the hotel and board the van for your short transfer to the local airstrip. Check in to the 50-minute flight to San Jose. Connect to the 30 minute flight to Tambor. Board the van for the 45 minute transfer to Santa Teresa de Malpais and check into your boutique beachfront hotel.
Days 5 – 7: free days at the beaches of Santa Teresa de Malpais. Activities in the area include tours on horseback and ATVs, visits to the Cabo Blanco National Park, surfing, sports fishing, boat tours to Tortuga Island, yoga and spa. Overnight in your Santa Teresa beachfront hotel.
Day 8: 45 minute transfer to Tambor. Board the 30 minute flight to San Jose. Upon landing, you will be transferred to San Jose International Airport for your return flight. |
