The Lost Iguana Resort is a great 4-star hotel in Arenal Volcano Region offering luxury accommodations in the rain forest. Las Casitas are in a separate building set high on a hill. Each unit has a large master bedroom with large bathroom, living room and small second bedroom. The second bedroom has bunk beds and can accommodate a crib. There is also a half bath off the living room, huge balcony / patio with extra large Jacuzzi, refrigerator, microwave, and coffee service.

The four Celebrity Villas are in a secluded area, each offering perfect views of the volcano and jungle. Each has two bedrooms. Plan A provides a master bedroom with a king bed, sitting area, eating area with refrigerator, microwave, coffee service, Jacuzzi on large balcony / patio and open air lava rock shower in the large bathroom. The connecting bedroom has a full bed, bunk bed, full bath and separate entrance door. Plan B offers a large master bedroom with king bed, large bathroom with outdoor lava rock shower, huge balcony / patio with Jacuzzi. The second bedroom has two full-size beds, view of the volcano, and full bath. Bedrooms open to a spacious living room that opens onto the balcony / patio. There is also a kitchenette and eating area with refrigerator, microwave, stovetop, and coffee service.

Enjoy waking to the peaceful serenity of the jungle and the playful sounds of the local toucans and howler monkeys. After spending the day exploring the miles of foot trails available at the resort, enjoy your evening by relaxing in your private hot tub and witness the spectacular lava flows and eruptions from the volcano.

The resort features a small but cozy double pool with swim up bar. Relax in the heated upper level with sunning shelf and built in seats, or play under the waterfall in the large lower swimming area. Lost Iguana also has a tropical, open-air restaurant and Palapa Bar. The Lost Iguana Resort is ideal for guests that want a small, upscale boutique resort priced in the mid range, away from the development in the Arenal / Fortuna region. Access to town and some of the attractions in the area is more difficult than from other resorts, but this also ensures the peace and tranquility found at Lost Iguana.
