The Springs Resort & Spa
Arenal - La Fortuna

With a spectacular view of the Arenal Volcano, natural hot and cold springs, four unique dining experiences, and an impressive full-service spa, The Springs Resort & Spa at Arenal promises to overwhelm you with its quality and service. The resort perches one thousand feet above the Arenal Valley on a mountain ridge just six kilometers north of the active volcano. The Springs' higher altitude relative to other hotels in the area allows for incomparable views of the volcano, the lush valley and the surrounding towns.

The Springs Resort & Spa features eighteen freeform, landscaped pools with temperatures ranging from 76°F to 103°F and great views of the volcano. Las Lagunas (The Lagoons) encompasses two acres of lush landscaping and an assortment of multi-level sun and shade terraces surrounding twelve pools. Four of the pools are fed directly by water pumped from the hot mineral springs. Perdido Springs (Lost Springs) is a connected system of trails and seven spring-fed pools located within a forest canyon just a short 100 meter walk from the lower level of Las Lagunas pools. Heliconia Walk, the trail to these hot and cold springs, is lined with 150 different species of flowering Heliconias along with beautiful rainforest trees, plants and vines. In the center of these pools is a small jungle bar called Los Perdidos (The Lost Ones) along with a water flume called the Monkey Slide.

Other bars include La Laguna, a swim-up bar with waterfalls and micro-bubbles. The Ranchito Bar, a great place for private parties of 25 people or less, offers wonderful views and close proximity to the Jacuzzi. Located on the hotel's Casino and Games Level, Ginger Sushi is a fun sports bar with pool, darts and backgammon, great sushi and splendid views. Sunset Terrace, just steps away, offers happy hour. Heliconia Bar, the Springs' lounge, provides magnificent volcano views and mellow Latin jazz.

Restaurants at The Springs include fine dining at Las Ventanas (The Windows), featuring windows angled to allow views almost straight down to the river a thousand feet below. Tres Cascadas (Three Waterfalls) is The Springs' full-service gourmet buffet restaurant. Set on a cliff surrounded by five waterfall pools overlooking the canopy, Treetops Grill offers great food from the grill in an informal setting. Poolside service is also available.

The Springs also features a 14,000 square foot full-service spa. Massages, facials, body wraps, manicures, and pedicures are offered in a luxurious setting. Facilities include a common lobby with spectacular views where both male and female guests can enjoy lunch or a relaxing break together between treatments as well as separate Ladies' and Men's relaxation areas for added privacy between treatments. Locker rooms are equipped with steam and sauna rooms as well as private showers and changing rooms. The Spa's fitness center offers inspirational views of the volcano and surrounding valley.

Guest rooms and villas at The Springs Resort & Spa include a private terrace with picturesque volcano views, hammock, rocking chairs, A/C, marble bathrooms with Jacuzzi and multi-head shower, 37" flat-screen satellite TV, surround sound stereo with CD/DVD player and iPOD/MP3/USB capability, telephone, wireless Internet, wet bar, safe, minibar, refrigerator, and coffee maker.

On-site activities include hiking, horseback riding and bird watching. Day tours to the hot springs at the hotel are available. Inner tubing, inflatable kayaking, fishing on Arenal River, and an on-site Casino are coming soon. Area tours include waterfall rappelling, Sky Adventures, canopying, rafting, hanging bridges, Venado Caves, Lake Arenal pontoon boat fishing, and ATV sightseeing.
