Capitan Suizo
Tamarindo - Conchal - Langosta

Hotel Capitan Suizo is located directly on the Tamarindo Beach in a privileged area at the end of the bay, nestled midst rich gardens which attract and home a wide variety of wildlife. Birds, howler monkeys, squirrels, gray iguanas, geckos, armadillos, skunks, and raccoons are among the animals that can be seen almost daily throughout the hotel's garden.

The eight bungalows, including honeymoon bungalow, 22 rooms and four-bedroom apartment are spacious and tastefully furnished and decorated. Some rooms have air conditioning and others are cooled by ceiling fans. All rooms benefit from a balcony or terrace overlooking the tropical gardens and facing ocean. With a free-form swimming pool, Internet corner, gift shop, and fenced-in parking lot, Capitan Suizo has alls the comforts you need to relax and enjoy your beach holiday.

The open-air, beachfront restaurant offers a fusion of European cuisine with a tropical influence that emphasizes fresh ingredients. Live entertainment is often featured. During the dry season, the restaurant hosts BBQs and private candlelight dinners on the beach. A breakfast buffet is included with your reservation.

Area attractions include sportfishing, Buena Vista Ranch, Rincon de la Vieja, canyoning, river floats, and horseback riding. Surfing lessons are always popular with the younger crowd and the young at heart. With the ocean and beach and all its fun activities at your doorstep, a spacious free form swimming pool, a fitness corner, and wide selection of activities and tours to choose from, both adventure lovers and those looking for relaxation under the sun will feel in their element. Shopping and additional dining options are available in the nearby town. Hotel Capitan Suizo is located 4½ hours by car or 45 minutes by air from San Jose International Airport and only a 50-minute drive from Liberia International Airport.

Despite the growth and development of the former little fishing village that is home to Capitan Suizo, the hotel has maintained its original philosophy to protect native trees and green areas of the property, integrating nature and wildlife with love and respect. This boutique hotel is an oasis of privacy in the corner of the bay yet strategically located to offer you access to the social and nightlife available in town. Guests at Capitan Suizo have easy access to outstanding restaurants, shops, bars, and other services in Tamarindo.
